Festival and Awards

Our work at the World Film Showcase aims to encourage a return to the original routes of, and reasons for, the film festival; at a time where the interests of filmmakers and their films were key. Amid the exploitation filmmakers are often exposed to, and the myriad of film festivals vying for entrants, The World Film Showcase Festival and Awards Scheme aims to serve the needs of filmmakers and actors both artistically and commercially, helping them to gain critical recognition, potential deals and financial returns. Our selection of awards are designed to promote filmmakers and actors at the most critical time, when they are in need of validation of their talent and potential, to mark them out as rare commodities, worthy of consideration and the much needed recognition that can ignite and nurture extraordinary careers. With a special category for ‘Projects’ in the form of yet to be made films which will automatically be put before our ‘First Look Finance’ consortium, the World Film Showcase aims to redefine the film festival and take it in exciting daringly original new avenues.

Please see our Terms and Conditions and access the information below for a structure of the entry system, a full list of our Awards, and details of the Market and Distribution platform.

The launch date for the first World Film Showcase will be announced soon

Actors

The World Film Showcase believes it more important for actors to be singled out for their talent when they are fighting for their vocations and in need of recognition, rather than when they have reached the pinnacle of success. Submit yourself or an actor you know for the accolade they deserve.

Filmmakers

Writers, Editors, DOPs, Makeup Artists, Composers, Costume Designers and more... whatever your field or level of experience, if you or a filmmaker you know has a talent which should not go unnoticed submit them or yourselves here.

Film Catagory

The World Film Showcase is pioneering new ways for the films of Independent Filmmakers from around the world to find their audience. Submit your feature or short for consideration in the festival, awards scheme, marketplace and distribution platform.

Projects

With financing more elusive than ever, filmmakers are increasingly turning to alternate routes to bring their projects to life. But now crowdfunding is more ‘crowded’ than ever. How do you make your project stand out in its embryonic phase? Submit your ‘yet to made’ film so we can single out the most outstanding and push you ahead of the crowd.
